The Academy Day
The school operating hours are 32.5
The school gates and classroom doors open at 8.45 am.
Lessons start promptly at 9.00 am and run through until 10.30am when the children in Years 1-6 have a break. We encourage all children to bring a healthy snack and a bottle of water for their break.
Lessons then run from 10.45am until lunchtime:
11.30am – 12.30pm for EYFS
11.50am – 1pm for Year 1
12.00pm – 1pm for Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Children can go home for lunch, have a school dinner or bring a packed lunch in from home. Please do not bring in hot meals for your children.
The afternoon session begins after lunch and runs through until 3.30pm, it often includes an assembly.
The school day ends at 3.30pm and all children can be collected from their classroom door.

Children going home for lunch should arrive back at least 5 minutes before the start of the afternoon session.
Packed Lunches
Children are welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat in school. Please remember not to bring any nut products as Begbrook Primary Academy is a nut free school.
School Dinners
At Begbrook we offer a range of school dinners cooked on site; Traditional, Vegetarian and Halal. Our food services are provided by Aspens and menus are changed termly. Please see the the link below for menus and further information about school dinners.
