This week, we talked to the children about online safety focusing on:

Content of information and others online

The children remembered the SMART rules for keeping safe online

We asked each year group a question:

Year 1 and Year 2 – What do I do if someone asks me about my private information online?

Year 3 – What signs can I look for to be sure what I am reading is trustworthy and safe?

Year 4 – How can technology have a negative impact on someone’s life? How can I be sure if something is fact or fake?

Year 5 – What is the impact of online influencers on social media? What is copyright? How do we know if something online (like an image or post) has been edited or created by AI?

Year 6 – How can social media shape your views?

How can social media and AI shape what I see or think?

How can I protect my wellbeing?

The children gave some amazing answers – ask them to tell you some.
