Term 4, Week 5 – Early Help
Early Help
This week we are talking to children about Early Help – what it is and how it can be helpful to families.
In daily reviews and Friday’s safeguarding session, we will be using the following information to talk to our children:
- Sometimes life can be hard, and families need help.
- Early help is what we call the support families can receive when things are difficult at home.
- The Early Help team can help families when:
- there is lots of arguing at home
- when there are worries about money or not having enough food
- when children are making unsafe choices at home and grown-ups need some extra help with their behaviour
- as well as support for when families are trying to move house
- Miss Adams and the safeguarding team can put families in contact with the Early Help team.
- If you think your family might need some extra help you can talk to your family about this, speak to one of your 5 safe adults or a member of the safeguarding team.
- Having support from the Early Help team is not a bad thing and does not mean that your family is in trouble – all families need help sometimes and the early help team are really happy to help.
