Term 2, Week 6 – Early Help

Term 2, Week 6 - Early Help

Early Help – what is it?

This week we talked to children about ‘early help’ – what it is and how it can be helpful to families.

We explained to children that sometimes life can be hard, and families need help.

We explained that ‘Early help’ is what we call the support families can receive when things are difficult at home. The Early Help team can help families when there is lots of arguing at home, when there are worries about money or not having enough food, when children are making unsafe choices at home and grown-ups need some extra help as well as support for when families are trying to move house.

We explained to the children that Miss Adams and the safeguarding team can put families in contact with the Early Help team and so if you think your family might need some extra help you can talk to your family about this or speak to one of your 5 safe adults.
