Term 2, Week 3 – Anti-bullying Week
Anti-bullying Week
This week we talked about ‘bullying’ as part of anti-bullying week. The theme for this year’s anti-bullying week is: ‘make a noise’, which Mrs Frappell shared with children in Monday’s assembly. We used our daily reviews and Friday’s PSHE lesson recap our approach to preventing and managing child on child harm at BPA. We discussed the following information:
- What is bullying? The term bullying is often used to describe child on child incidents that have happened once or twice. ‘Bullying’ is an area of child on child harm but it specifically refers to a person of group of people intentionally and repeatedly hurting another person or group of people where the relationship involved an imbalance of power.
Last year, our children developed our approach to preventing and managing child on child harm at Begbrook. We reviewed this as part of this week’s safeguarding weekly theme. Ask your child to tell you about the ways in which we prevent and manage child on child harm.
