Term 1, Week 4 – Lanyards

Term 1, Week 4 - Lanyards

Lanyards – what do they mean?

This week we have been talking to children about the different lanyards that grown-ups wear. We shared the following information with children:

We have blue lanyards for adults who we know are safe because they have had all of the safeguarding checks. Blue lanyards could be for staff or safe visitors. Anyone wearing a blue lanyard can be in our school without having to be supervised.

We have red lanyards are for adults who have not had the safeguarding checks. This means that they need to be supervised by a member of staff or visitor wearing a blue lanyard. If you see a person wearing a lanyard and they are not with an adult wearing a blue lanyard (or if a person is not wearing any lanyard at all) then you must tell a member of staff as soon as possible.

Rainbow lanyards are for adults who work in our family of Academies called the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). All CLF adults have had safeguarding checks and are therefore safe adults.
