Term 1, Week 3 – Lanyards

Lanyards
This week, we talked to children about the different types of lanyards they will see adults wearing at school and what each lanyard means.
We shared the following information with children:
Blue lanyards:
Blue lanyards for adults who we know are safe because they have had all of the safeguarding checks. Blue lanyards could be for staff or safe visitors. Adults wearing blue lanyards can be unsupervised around our school.

Red lanyards:
Red lanyards are for adults who have not had the safeguarding checks. This means that they need to be supervised by a member of staff or visitor who is wearing a blue lanyard. If you see a person wearing a red lanyard and they are not with an adult wearing a blue lanyard (or if a person is not wearing any lanyard at all) then you must tell a member of staff as soon as possible.

Rainbow lanyards:
Rainbow lanyards are for safe adults who work in one of our family schools in the Cabot Learning Federation/CLF.
