Pupil Council

Welcome to our Academy Council Page

The Academy Council was set up to enable children here at Begbrook Academy to have a say in the running of their own Academy.

In this way, our children have a greater sense of belonging, become more confident when putting forward ideas and develop a greater understanding of the need to work co-operatively for the good of others.

We hold yearly elections in each year group to select the Councillors for that year.  The academy Council then meets on a regular basis to discuss ways in which to improve the school. Decisions are then fed back in class and any issues that arise are discussed.

The academy Council have been busy since September, helping in a number of areas including:

  • Raising over £500 for Children in Need by taking part in a class competition to stick as many coins as possible onto Pudsey and ‘Dress in as many Spots’ event.

We will aim to keep you up-to-date with current events happening across the school.
